Soft washing relies on controlled application, suitable chemistry, dwell time and lower pressure rather than aggressive mechanical force. Cleaning should improve the surface without pretending it can repair an underlying building defect.

Good to know
Soft washing is not a promise that every stained wall can be made new.
It is a controlled cleaning method. It can treat suitable organic contamination, but it cannot repair blown render, failed paint, cracking, defective gutters or structural moisture problems.
Organic growth
Algae and similar biological contamination are often well suited to treatment-led cleaning.
Atmospheric marks
Some dirt and weathering can improve, but non-organic staining may need another approach.
Underlying defects
Cleaning can expose or highlight defects; it does not replace repair or recoating.
Gradual improvement
Some surfaces continue to lighten after treatment as biological residues break down and the wall weathers.

How is soft washing different from pressure washing?
Pressure washing relies mainly on mechanical force on suitable robust surfaces. Soft washing uses lower pressure with an appropriate treatment and dwell time for more delicate or organically stained exteriors.
Is soft washing safe for render?
It is often more appropriate than high-pressure cleaning, but render still needs assessment. Cracked, loose, hollow or failing surfaces can remain vulnerable.
Will all staining disappear immediately?
Not always. Some organic staining improves during the visit while other marks continue to fade afterwards. Deep, historic or non-organic staining may remain.
How do you protect plants and surrounding areas?
The surrounding property is assessed before treatment. Planting, lawns, glazing, metalwork and adjoining surfaces may require controlled application, pre-wetting, protection and rinsing.
Can cleaning repair cracked or damaged render?
No. Cleaning can improve surface contamination but cannot correct structural cracking, failed coatings, blown render or defects causing repeated water staining.
Can every rendered wall be treated?
No. Render type, coating, cracks, loose or hollow areas, access and surrounding risks all need assessment before treatment is recommended.
Do you clean boundary walls and pillars?
Suitable rendered, painted or coated boundary walls and pillars can be assessed for lower-pressure treatment where their condition allows.
