Cookies Policy

Last updated: 29th August 2026

Five Willows Property Care Limited (“Five Willows”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on fivewillowspropertycare.co.uk (the “Site”).

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, why they may be used, which categories of technology may operate on the Site and how visitors can manage or withdraw their choices.

It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files or identifiers placed on, or accessed from, your computer, phone, tablet or other device when you use a website.

Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels and other identifiers that perform comparable functions.

Cookies and similar technologies can be used to:

  • Operate and secure a website.

  • Remember choices and preferences.

  • Maintain website functions requested by a visitor.

  • Understand how visitors use a website.

  • Measure website performance.

  • Support optional embedded or third-party features.

2. Our website platform

Our Site is built and hosted using Squarespace.

Squarespace uses certain necessary technologies to operate, secure and deliver websites. Depending on the Site features and privacy settings enabled, Squarespace may also use analytics and performance technologies.

We use Google Workspace for business email and internal administration. Simply browsing this Site does not mean that you are using our Google Workspace account.

If we enable a visitor-facing Google service — for example Google Analytics, an embedded Google Map, YouTube content or reCAPTCHA — that service may use its own cookies or similar technologies. Where those technologies are non-essential, they should only operate in accordance with the visitor's consent choices.

3. Cookie consent

Some technologies are necessary for the Site to operate properly or to provide a function specifically requested by a visitor. These may operate without consent where the law permits.

Non-essential analytics, performance, functional or marketing technologies are controlled by consent where required.

Our cookie controls are intended to allow visitors to:

  • Accept all optional cookies.

  • Reject non-essential cookies.

  • Manage cookie choices.

Non-essential cookies should remain restricted until the visitor gives the relevant consent.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings control on the Site.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully took place before consent was withdrawn.

4. Cookie categories

Strictly necessary

These technologies are required for the Site to operate securely or to provide functionality requested by the visitor.

Examples can include website security, fraud prevention, session management, redirect protection and remembering cookie-consent choices.

Where a technology is genuinely strictly necessary, it may operate without consent.

Functional

Functional technologies provide optional website conveniences or features.

Depending on the technology, examples may include remembering optional preferences or enabling embedded functionality.

Where a functional technology is not strictly necessary, it will remain disabled until the appropriate consent is given.

Analytics and performance

Analytics and performance technologies help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are visited and how visitors move through the website.

These technologies are not required for the basic operation of the Site and should remain restricted until the relevant consent is given.

Marketing

Marketing technologies may be used to measure advertising, campaigns, retargeting or visitor activity across different websites or services.

We do not treat marketing technologies as strictly necessary. Where they are used, the appropriate consent must be obtained before they are activated.

5. Current Squarespace cookies and technologies

The precise cookies visible to a visitor can depend on the Squarespace features being used, the visitor's actions and the consent choices made.

7. Google Analytics and other Google website services

Google Workspace, which we use for business email and administration, is separate from visitor-facing website tracking.

If Google Analytics is enabled on the Site, Google may use analytics technologies such as the _ga cookie and related identifiers to distinguish visitors and prepare website-usage statistics.

These technologies are treated as non-essential and should remain restricted until the visitor gives the appropriate consent.

The main _ga cookie may remain for up to two years.

If we add or enable other Google services — such as embedded Maps, YouTube, advertising or other visitor-facing integrations — this policy and the Site's consent controls will be reviewed and updated where necessary.

8. Third-party content

Some website features supplied by third parties can use cookies or similar technologies.

These can include, depending on what is enabled on the Site:

  • Maps.

  • Videos.

  • Review widgets.

  • Booking systems.

  • Social-media features.

  • Analytics services.

  • Advertising or conversion-tracking services.

A normal hyperlink that takes you to another website does not mean that Five Willows controls the cookies used by that external website.

Where third-party technology is embedded directly into our Site and is not strictly necessary, we aim to prevent it from operating until the appropriate consent has been provided.

9. Managing and withdrawing cookie choices

You can change your preferences at any time through the Cookie Settings control available on the Site.

You can also use your browser settings to:

  • Review stored cookies.

  • Delete cookies.

  • Block some or all cookies.

  • Restrict cookies from particular websites.

Browser controls vary between providers.

Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent parts of the Site from operating correctly. Rejecting analytics, functional or marketing technologies should not prevent access to the basic content of the Site, although some optional features may be unavailable.

Deleting cookies from your browser may also remove the stored record of your previous cookie choice, meaning that you may be asked to choose again on a later visit.

10. International data transfers

Some technology providers used by websites operate internationally and may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, appropriate legal safeguards should be used in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Further information about international transfers and how we handle personal information is available in our Privacy Policy and from the privacy information of the relevant provider.

11. Changes to the technologies we use

Website technology can change when:

  • Squarespace changes its platform.

  • Website features are added or removed.

  • Analytics settings change.

  • A map, video, booking, review or social feature is added.

  • Advertising or conversion measurement is introduced.

  • A third-party provider changes its own technology.

We therefore review this Cookie Policy when material website features or providers change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page shows when the policy was most recently revised.
