Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Professional carpet and upholstery cleaning where fibre type, construction, colour stability and condition determine the right method for the material.

We assess the material and soiling before selecting extraction, low-moisture, steam-based or other suitable methods. The aim is the best reasonable improvement without making unrealistic promises about permanent damage or staining.

What we can help with

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, scoped properly.

The exact work is confirmed in writing before we begin. These are the main areas this service can include, subject to the property, condition, access and quotation.

Carpet cleaning

Professional cleaning for suitable fitted carpets following fibre and condition assessment.

Upholstery

Selected sofas, chairs and other upholstered items where construction and care guidance allow.

Rugs

Suitable rugs assessed for fibre, dyes, backing and cleaning method before treatment.

Spot & stain treatment

Targeted treatment where appropriate, with honest expectations about permanent or chemically altered marks.

Extraction cleaning

Hot-water extraction or another wet method where the material, construction and drying conditions are suitable.

Low-moisture options

Alternative methods where lower moisture or a different process is more appropriate for the item.

Assessment before action

The cleaning machine is only part of the job. The material determines the method.

Fibre type, backing, construction, colour stability, previous treatments, level of soiling, staining, ventilation and drying conditions all affect what is sensible. We do not promise complete stain removal where bleaching, dye transfer or permanent fibre damage is already present.

Fibre & construction

Natural and synthetic fibres, backing and upholstery construction can require different approaches.

Colour stability

Testing can help identify dye movement or sensitivity before broader treatment.

Stain history

Age, previous chemicals and permanent damage can limit what cleaning can achieve.

Drying conditions

Ventilation, room temperature, material density and method all affect drying time.

How we work

Clear from the first enquiry to the final handover.

Good property care is easier when both sides know what happens next. We keep the route practical and explain any change before it becomes a surprise.

01

Inspect & discuss

Identify the item, material, soiling, stains, previous treatment and result you are hoping to achieve.

02

Choose the method

Select an appropriate cleaning route and carry out spot/testing checks where needed.

03

Clean methodically

Treat the item using controlled equipment, chemistry and moisture appropriate to the material.

04

Finish & aftercare

Explain drying, ventilation, when the item can be used and any residual marks or limitations.

Domestic & commercial

Carpet & upholstery cleaning for homes and selected managed/commercial spaces.

Domestic items and commercial interiors can have different access, drying and operational requirements. Where the scope is suitable, we can plan the cleaning around room use, ventilation and practical return-to-service timing.

Homes & rentals

Carpets, rugs and suitable upholstery can be assessed around fibre, condition, staining and practical access.

Commercial interiors

Room use, working hours, ventilation and return-to-service timing can be considered for suitable business spaces.

Material-led method

Hot-water extraction, low-moisture or another appropriate process is selected after assessing the material.

Realistic stain advice

Cleaning can remove substantial soil and improve many marks, but permanent dye or fibre damage cannot be promised away.

How pricing works

The actual job determines the quotation.

We do not force complex property-care work into a misleading universal price. Size matters, but so do condition, access, materials, waste, frequency and the method required.

Material & item size

Fibre, construction, dimensions and whether carpet, rug or upholstery is being treated.

Soiling & treatment

General soil, stains, spot treatment and method required.

Access & drying

Parking, equipment access, ventilation, furniture movement and practical drying conditions.

Common questions

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning FAQs.

These answers cover the questions we hear most often. Your written quotation remains the definitive scope for your individual property or site.

Do you always use the same cleaning machine?

No. Fibre type, construction, colour stability, soiling and manufacturer guidance all matter. The method is selected around the material.

Can every stain be removed?

No. Many stains can improve significantly, but dye loss, bleaching, burns, wear and permanent fibre damage cannot be cleaned away.

How long will carpets or upholstery take to dry?

Drying time depends on the material, room temperature, ventilation, moisture level and cleaning method. We will give practical guidance after the clean.

Can you clean delicate or natural fibres?

Some can be cleaned, but they need assessment first and may require a lower-moisture or material-specific method. We will explain where a material falls outside the methods we provide.

Should I vacuum before the appointment?

Normal loose-item removal and reasonable access help, but we will explain any preparation needed when the booking is confirmed.

Do you clean commercial carpets and upholstery?

Yes, for suitable commercial interiors. Access, room use, drying conditions and return-to-service timing are considered when the scope is agreed.
